It consists in Sanskrit of the three sounds; "a", "u" and "m", representing various fundamental triads and believed to be the spoken essence of the universe. It is uttered as a mantra and in affirmations and blessings. It is the sound of creative departure and return. The sounding of 'Aum' is the beginning of a transformative process which delivers us to a state of awareness enablinb us to actually experience identity with the supreme Creative Principle.
