Healing. Maintenance. Relaxation. That's
what AUM is all about.
Whether you are coming to us for
healing, maintenance or relaxation, you will always get a blend of all
three.
Healing.
Your body can be in need healing for many different
reasons. For example, you could have been in an accident, had an
illness, be out of alignment due to stresses, the type of work that you do,
or your posture.
- Massage, be it Swedish, Deep Tissue or Warm Stones
helps to release tensions in muscles as well as connective tissues.
- Myofascial Release helps to release adhesions in
connective tissues and is also very helpful in assisting uniform scarring
(making the scar tissue lay down with the grain of the body rather than
against the grain which could "glue" different muscles, tendons or
connective tissue together).
- Integrative Reflexology stimulates points related
to major organs and glands in the body, helping the body to stimulate its
own healing processes.
- Lymph Drainage Therapy assists the Lymphatic System
in removing toxins, stagnant fluids and other bacteria from the body.
- Ear Candling opens the ear canal allowing for
removal of bacteria and cleansing of the ear canal and the sinuses.
- Yoga helps you become more aware of your body.
How it is out of alignment, how muscles are tight, where your muscles have
lost some of their strength, how you are breathing and where you are
holding your stresses in your physical body. Through those areas of
awareness and the practice of breath work, your body will regain a
healthier alignment and you will use more of your lung capacity to take
fuller, deeper breaths.
Maintenance.
- Swedish, Deep Tissue, Warm Stones Massage and
Myofascial Release helps to release those adhesions in your muscles and
connective tissue. Due to injuries, everyday stress and the way that
we carry ourselves we can deviate from the anatomical neutral from which
our bodies started out. Compare yourself to an infant in the
physical sense. How they have relaxed muscles and the specific ways
that their bodies are aligned. Most adults bodies are very deviated
from this alignment.
- Integrative Reflexology keeps our bodies
stimulating their won healing processes as well as stimulating the major
meridians of the body affecting us both physically and energetically.
- Our bodies are constantly coming in contact with
environment toxins and removing their own cellular waste. Lymph
Drainage Therapy aids our body in removing those bacteria and toxins.
- Ear Candling helps to remove the build-up of ear
wax and environmental waste that gets caught in the ears as well as
clearing the ear canal to help aid in relief of sinus pressure, sore
throats, swimmer's ear, ear aches, allergies, headaches and hearing
trouble.
- Regular Yoga practice aids us in allowing for more
strength and flexibility of the many muscles of the body creating a more
comfortable body to move around in, as well as helping us breathe more
deeply. It also gives us a chance to relax deeply during and after
the practice.
Relaxation.
- While receiving any of our bodywork, be it Swedish
Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Integrative Reflexology,
Lymph Drainage Therapy or an Ear Candling session, you will be given the
opportunity to get out of your head and totally relax. Through this
deep relaxation, your body will be given a chance to recover from the
stresses of your life and remain healthier.
- Either while practicing postures and breath work or
while relaxing at the end of your yoga session, your body is given a
chance to rest into the poses and help to realign itself. Even after
the yoga session is over, your body is in a state that will allow you to
sleep a more restful sleep and will give you more energy on days to come.
